Victoria has recorded a fifth consecutive day of no new local cases of COVID-19.

The state had eight active cases on Wednesday, two fewer than on Tuesday. More than 18,800 tests were processed in the past day.

Premier Daniel Andrews is addressing the media on Wednesday morning.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the state government had vaccinated 5020 Victorians, 1156 of which were inoculated in the past 24 hours.
