San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested over the weekend in Ohio on two misdemeanor charges, according to multiple news outlets and court documents.

York, 46, was arrested on Sunday in East Palestine on counts of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, WKBN reported.

Court documents obtained by CNBC confirmed both those charges.

According to the East Palestine Police Department, the department's "only involvement in this case is assisting the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in the arrest of Mr. York." According to the police report, a call for "mutual aid" was requested at the Wheathill Mobile Home Community on Aug 23 at 9:35 am.

On Monday morning, York pleaded no contest to both charges and was sentenced to one day in the Columbiana County Jail on each count, to be served concurrently with credit for time served, and fined $1,150, according to court records obtained by USA Today and WKBN.

The NFL, in a statement, told CNBC: "We are aware of the matter which will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy."

York, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, has been CEO of the 49ers since December 2008 and the team's principal owner since 2024.

TMZ and the New York Post reported that prosecutors reduced York's original charge of engaging in prostitution to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
